Speaking with Saffron Hocking. Actress from the Smash Hit, Netflix Series Top Boy
Posted by Zara Simonian onThis week we were lucky enough to catch up with Saffron Hocking. Saffron is an actress, known for features in series White Gold (2017), London Kills (2019) and Smash Hit Top Boy (2011). After using our CBD Balm & CBD Spray we caught up to find out how she has been getting with Cannacares & her CBD Routine.
Had you ever tried CBD before discovering Cannacares?
No I hadn’t ever tried it but I had heard about it. It’s very trendy so I’d seen it around a lot. I am quite an anxious person but it was only when I reached a point that it started to become slightly debilitating that I took my friend's recommendation and tried CBD. Sometimes with anxiety you get it because of something, perhaps it’s a worry that you have or a past trauma that you haven’t dealt with but the anxiety I was suffering from was for no apparent reason. I couldn’t pinpoint it and I’d wake up some days to a feeling of impending doom, my chest would have an uncomfortable tightness to it and my breathing was awful. I knew that I needed to find something to alleviate it then.
How has CBD helped your Anxiety?
I really like the CBD Spray and the CBD Balm. The spray is so fresh and easy to use on the go. I like the balm as when I get anxious, I tend to get quite tight on my chest so it's great to rub on that as the smell of the CBD calms me down. You definitely feel a change and generally better and more relaxed.
What do you like about the Balm?
I wouldn’t say it completely stops my anxiety but it definitely sets me up to manage the anxiety better and get through it. I also think it's great to have something healthy and natural to reach when you feel like that, especially as a young person. I like that the balm directly targets where I feel my anxiety the most and I never even knew that you could take CBD like that. It is also great to use as a general moisturiser.
What products have you tried from the Cannacares Range and which do you consider to be your Favourite?
I also had the transdermal CBD patch but I have just naturally reached for the balm and the spray more so haven’t tried it yet. I can imagine that it’s a different experience if the patches slowly release the CBD and I’d be interested to see how I feel when taking it like that and on a consistent basis. I can feel the difference relatively quickly with the balm as I can smell the CBD instantly and that comforting and calming effect really helps when my anxiety is bad.
Did you benefit from the information available on the Cannacares Website?
I was recommended Cannacares through a friend so there was already a sense of brand trust because of that. I was slightly nervous that the CBD may be too strong for me, but at the same time I was cautious that it may be a fad and not even work. I did Google it to find some general information and there was A LOT. I didn’t read anything negative but it was quite overwhelming as it is clear that different things work for different people. I like that you have a sample kit so people can find the right product for them. I don’t think I would have tried the balm if not as everyone always talks about the oil.
Will you be paying a visit to one of our Pop-up Stores in Hampstead, Guildford or Farnham?
I live in London so I’d definitely check out Hampstead. Everything is done online nowadays and you forget about how nice it is to just discuss CBD and get an understanding of the products. I can imagine that it is especially useful to have a place for the older generation to go too as the internet can be an overwhelming place.
